The Asheville Mix Artist Bag
Popcorn With A Purpose
Every Asheville Mix Artist Bag supports a nonprofit doing work that we're passionate about. The Artist Bag has raised over $120,000 (and counting!) for causes in our hometown of Asheville, NC. We partner with a new nonprofit organization each quarter, and a portion of every bag sold goes to support their work.
How It Started
In 2020, the Asheville Mix Artist Bag began as a fundraiser for students and families through Asheville school partnerships.
How It Grew
Our Asheville Mix Artist Bag giveback program evolved in 2024 to support Hurricane Helene recovery. The spirit of giving and community has stayed at the heart of the program as it’s grown.
How It's Going
Today, we partner with under-resourced nonprofits doing meaningful work. As a small business, we’re intentional about partnering with small organizations where the impact of our support is direct, meaningful, and accountable.
What's Next
Our team selects a partner on a rotating basis, allowing us to support more organizations and share more of the work they’re doing with our community.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Supporting Children And Families With HARK
When I began thinking about our Asheville Mix Artist Bag give back program's goals for this year, I kept returning to a simple question: what do families in our community need most right now?
In 2011, I was a single mom re-entering the workforce with limited resources. There were countless moments when friends and family stepped in to help, and I’ve often thought about what that time might have looked like without support.
That’s why the work of our current partner - HARK (Helping At Risk Kids) - feels so important to me. HARK works closely with schools and child advocates in Buncombe County, North Carolina to provide essentials to children and families facing housing instability.
I’ve always believed Poppy isn’t just a popcorn brand, it’s a force for good. Through the Asheville Mix Artist Bag, we’re proud to support small organizations meeting urgent needs in our community.
With gratitude,
Ginger Frank, Founder & CEO
